HARVEST GROUPS

• We believe that because of what God has done in us, we share Jesus’ love and good news to bring hope into our community. It’s simply Sharing Good News....

• Outside worship, many ministry groups exist at Good News but our small groups will serve a specific purpose. The Good News Small Group ministry is being refreshed and will be known as Harvest.

• The purpose of Good News Harvest groups are “to share Jesus’ love and good news with each other and the community”. Harvest groups do this by meeting together regularly to connect with others, grow spiritually, study the Bible, love and pray for others, and work on community service projects.

• Good News Harvest groups are primarily for nurturing each other as disciples of Jesus but they will also participate in evangelism through their journey together.

ABOUT OUR HARVEST GROUPS

• build on worship through deeper nurturing of each other as disciples of Jesus;

• Are open to all;

• Have a group size generally between 6 to 12 people;

• Have at least one person nominated to be the leader/facilitator;

• Can meet anywhere and can be hosted by someone other than the group leader;

• Will be open to new members over time;

• Will be provided an ongoing study focus by Pastor, or the group can select their own;

• Will meet together regularly, generally at least fortnightly;

• Will participate in an annual all Good News Harvest group study program;

• Remain connected to Good News through the use of a common social media tool; and

• Aspire to do community service activities together or as part of Good News activities.
